Product Introduction

Huaxuan High-Tech PC-FR901 is a high-performance Dispersant admixture developed for oil well cement systems. It is also referred to as an oil well cement friction reducer, dispersant or turbulence inducer for cementing operations.

The product appears as a white water-soluble powder. Its molecular structure consists of polyether side chains and carboxylic acid main chains, allowing PC-FR901 to disperse oil well cement particles through the dual effects of electrostatic repulsion and steric hindrance.

By optimizing the rheological properties of cement slurry, PC-FR901 helps lower pumping pressure, reduce transportation resistance, improve slurry delivery and displacement efficiency, and support faster and more stable cementing operations. It is suitable for onshore and offshore cementing under diverse well conditions, especially shallow and medium-deep onshore wells.

PC-JZJ01 oil well cement dispersant improves slurry dispersion, reduces viscosity and pumping pressure, and enhances cementing efficiency.

Action Mechanism

PC-FR901contains active functional groups that rapidly adsorb onto the surface of oil well cement particles. These groups help neutralize positive charges on cement particles, increase electrostatic repulsion and break up particle agglomerates.

At the same time, long polyether side chains form a three-dimensional protective layer on particle surfaces. This steric hindrance effect helps prevent re-agglomeration of cement grains, keeping particles evenly dispersed throughout the slurry.

Through this combined mechanism, PC-FR901 lowers slurry consistency and improves cement slurry rheology, helping achieve smoother pumping and more effective displacement during cementing.

Superior Dispersion and Friction Reduction

PC-FR901 is a polycarboxylate-based cement dispersant designed to efficiently disperse cement particles and minimize particle agglomeration. By reducing plastic viscosity and yield point, it improves slurry flowability, enhances pumping performance, and supports more stable rheological behavior throughout the cementing process.

Lower Pumping Pressure and Improved Flow Efficiency

The excellent dispersing capability of PC-FR901 reduces hydraulic resistance during slurry circulation, helping lower pumping pressure and pipeline friction losses. This contributes to smoother cement placement in long intervals, narrow annuli, and other challenging wellbore conditions while reducing equipment load and improving operational efficiency.

Improved Cement Placement and Zonal Isolation

Better particle dispersion and optimized slurry rheology allow cement slurry to flow more uniformly through the casing and annulus. Improved displacement efficiency helps minimize drilling fluid contamination, supports more complete mud removal, and contributes to the formation of a uniform cement sheath for reliable zonal isolation.

Wide Temperature Adaptability

PC-FR901 delivers stable dispersing performance across a broad bottom-hole circulating temperature (BHCT) range of 3°C to 178°C. It is suitable for shallow, deep, and high-temperature wells. At temperatures below approximately 60°C, the product may also provide a mild retarding effect, helping reduce the dosage of dedicated cement retarders in compatible slurry systems.

Excellent Compatibility with Cement Additives

PC-FR901 is compatible with a wide range of oil well cement additives, including fluid loss control agents, retarders, latex systems, weighting materials, and other commonly used cementing chemicals. Its excellent compatibility provides greater formulation flexibility for conventional, lightweight, and high-density cement slurry systems.

Excellent Salt Resistance

PC-FR901 maintains effective dispersion performance in freshwater, seawater, and high-salinity brine cement systems. The optimized polymer structure helps minimize flocculation under saline conditions, making it suitable for cementing operations in salt formations and other challenging geological environments after laboratory verification.

Fast Dissolution and Easy Application

Available in a free-flowing powder form, PC-FR901 disperses rapidly in mixing water and can be incorporated into existing dry-blend or slurry mixing processes without requiring modifications to conventional cementing equipment. Its ease of handling simplifies field preparation and supports consistent slurry performance.

Environmentally Responsible Polycarboxylate Technology

Unlike many conventional sulfonated cement dispersants, PC-FR901 utilizes advanced polycarboxylate polymer technology. The optimized molecular structure provides efficient dispersion, excellent compatibility, and stable performance over a wide temperature range while supporting cleaner production processes.

Onshore and Offshore Cementing Operations

PC-FR901 is suitable for onshore and offshore oil well cementing operations where slurry flowability, pumping efficiency and displacement performance are important.

Shallow and Medium-Deep Onshore Wells

The product is especially suitable for shallow and medium-deep onshore wells. Its broad temperature adaptability from 3.0℃ to 178℃ allows it to support cementing under varied well conditions.

Class G and Class A Oil Well Cement

PC-JZJ01 can be used with Class G, Class A and other common oil well cement grades. Laboratory testing is recommended to confirm compatibility and dosage before field application.

Freshwater and Saturated Brine Slurry Environments

The product can be applied in both freshwater and saturated brine systems, making it suitable for cementing formulations affected by different water salinity levels.

Low-, Conventional- and High-Density Cement Slurries

PC-FR901 is compatible with low-density, conventional-density and high-density oil well cement slurry systems, offering flexible support for different cementing designs.

What is PC-FR901?

PC-FR901 is an oil well cement friction reducer and dispersant. It is also referred to as a turbulence inducer for cementing operations.

How does PC-FR901 work?

Its active functional groups adsorb onto cement particle surfaces, increasing electrostatic repulsion and breaking up agglomerates. Polyether side chains then create steric hindrance to prevent cement particles from re-agglomerating.

What performance does PC-FR901 improve?

It helps reduce slurry plastic viscosity, yield point, pumping pressure and pipeline transportation resistance. It also improves slurry flowability, delivery efficiency and displacement performance.

What is the recommended dosage?

The recommended powder dosage is 0.1–1.0% by mass of oil well cement. For special applications, dosage can be adjusted beyond this range after laboratory testing.

Can PC-FR901 be used below 60℃?

Yes. PC-FR901 can be used in low-temperature cementing systems and may provide a partial retarding effect below 60℃, helping reduce the consumption of dedicated cement retarders.

Can it be used in saturated brine?

Yes. PC-FR901 is compatible with both freshwater and saturated brine slurry environments.

Which oil well cement grades are suitable?

PC-FR901 is compatible with common oil well cement grades such as Class G and Class A. Actual compatibility should be verified using the target cement and field formulation.

Packaging

PC-FR901 is packed in 25kg sealed paper bags with good moisture-proof performance to reduce the risk of caking during transportation and storage.

Storage Conditions

Store the product in a cool, dry warehouse at 0–50℃. Keep it away from direct sunlight, rain, high-temperature baking and heat sources.

Stacking Precaution

The product has slight thermoplasticity. Avoid heavy stacking under high storage temperatures to prevent lump formation.

Shelf Life

The shelf life is 12 months under proper storage conditions. Expired product without visible caking may still be used after passing laboratory performance testing.

Recommended Dosage

The recommended powder dosage of PC-FR901 is 0.1–1.0% by mass of oil well cement. For special cementing applications, the dosage can be adjusted beyond this range according to laboratory test results.

Dosage Confirmation

The optimal mixing ratio should be determined based on actual well depth, bottomhole temperature, water salinity and cement slurry formulation to achieve the required performance.

Direct Mixing

Blend the powdered dispersant with oil well cement, mixing water and other admixtures proportionally under thorough agitation.
